About Me

I am passionate about using the latest machine learning research to build products that provide value to governments, businesses, or consumers. Through working as a machine learning engineer intern at two startups (Vake and Greymatter.io) and as a research assistant in three research labs at Virginia Tech (the Sanghani Center, BIST, and the Hume Center), I have gained experience with a range of application areas including geospatial computer vision, epidemiological time series forecasting, path-planning reinforcement learning, audio processing, NLP, and more. More details about my experience can be found on the resume tab of this site or on my LinkedIn.

I am in my last year of a B.S. in Computer Science (with a concentration in data-centric computing) and a minor in statistics at Virginia Tech. I have taken classes in machine learning, mathematical statistics, and regression analysis. Last semester I did my capstone project on style transfer GANs for movie effects. At the moment, I am taking a class called “Defending Against ML-Powered Adversaries” on security and machine learning. Next semester I will be taking classes on parallel computing and baysian statistics.
